Cool Down And Sample Coffee Creamer
My husband thinks I’m a nut. If he calls home and asks if I need anything from the store, I usually have to ask him to bring home more coffee creamer. It’s a sickness with me, really, because I drink coffee all day long and I can’t drink it without creamer. I go through it a lot, but considering I drink a pot of regular and a pot of decaf on any given day, you can see why I might go through a lot of coffee creamer. I don’t want the flavored stuff either. I like the plain stuff that adds smoothness to my coffee without altering the taste.
I do enjoy a flavored coffee creamer from time to time, but this is usually when I am away from home. I only keep the original half and half in my fridge and it has to be the liquid. The powered coffee creamer just doesn’t do it for me. It has a great taste, but it’s just not the same. Coffee creamer is added not only for the taste, but to also cool it down just a little bit. The powered variety adds flavor, but does nothing to cool off the steaming hot coffee you get in most places.
My mother, on the other hand, loves the flavored coffee creamer varieties. She usually drinks her coffee black at home, but on occasion, she likes to get a flavor. She jokes that it is hard to find the right flavor because there are too many of them from which to choose. She says it might be easier to find a husband than to decide what flavor is her favorite. No matter what your taste might be, you are going to find a coffee creamer to give you just what you are looking for in a flavor.
If you have never used flavored coffee creamer, you can start off the smart way. In almost any store where you can buy brewed coffee you can find small coffee creamers to add to your coffee. Most places have flavored ones there as well. Just take a few different flavors and try them all before you decide. Even if you really think you may like a flavor, you may not. If you experiment, it will save you from spending two or three dollars on a flavored coffee creamer that you end up not liking very much. They same can be said for flavored coffees that sound good in idea, but end up not being very good in your cup. If you look in my cupboard, you will see what I mean. I have opened coffees that I have never used again, but don’t want to throw away because they cost so much.
